THIS CHARADE PRIMARY ELECTION IN WARD 8 WON'T STAND

We, the concerned members of the All Progressive Congress Ward 8, Sagamu Local Government vehemently protest the sham election and participation of an opposition member falsely declared to have been conducted by our leaders, which has brought to the fore a candidate named Mr. Babatunde. Sakiru( Aka Paulo) on Tuesday 3rd September, 2024 who is not only new to our party but has also allegedly financially induced our leaders to secure the ticket.

This is a travesty of democracy and a slap in the face of dedicated party loyalists as this person did not meet the requirements to have participated in the primaries of our councillorship election. It is with clear evidence that the same person worked against the emergence of His Excellency Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun CON, our Governor at the last general election where he voted at Primary School, Eleja Unit 6. He went ruthless in beating our party members on that said election as a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP)

At no time has he declared to have decamped to our party or accepted formally; meaning he is not an eligible member who does not have the membership card of our great party. The question now is, how was he cleared to have partaken in the said election by the leaders or executives of our ward?

Is this how to compensate those who have been loyal to the party?

Is our leaders saying anybody can be a councillor without considering their antecedents, and contributions to the party and humanity at large

We therefore demand an immediate review of this charade and a fresh, transparent, and fair election process with eligible aspirant( s).

The imposition of this unqualified candidate reeks of corruption and undermines the very fabric of our party's values. We will not stand idly by while our leaders perpetuate such brazen injustices.

Which will indirectly bring acrimony and political unrest within our ward, if not looked into.

We demand to be heard and our voices counted as we solidarized with Hon. Kamoru Adenusi ( Love Me) to be given this mandate having fulfilled all requirements, leadership acumen and zeal for developments in the

community.

Anything less would be a betrayal of our trust and loyalty to the party.
